Cold World

“Cold World" It's been many long years, and the days are getting shorter, Many stories of lost loved ones, Children looking for their father. This World is so cold, Even worse if you're black. Not a racists, but it's a fact, I mean y'all leave us out dry with nothing, then fool us with "White" Crack.. The "Police" don't protect and serve, instead they provoke and neglect, should we put our hands up, naw it, unload the tec. I thank The Lord for every day, I'm not gasping for breath, questioning how do you not pull the trigger if your afraid of your own death. So I shall walk by faith and not by sight, because I know a man that orders my steps, and he'll take care all my fights. They gave us a book to read when we could not think, then we learned that those "White" pages was nothing without the "Black" ink. So through many battles our ancestors have fought, and the great M.L.K "I Had A Dream" speech we all have been taught. We still continue to fight for total freedom, but freedom isn't free, so "By Any Means Necessary," like Malcolm X, we must be. So to my "Black" successors please enlighten the next, because as we know it's a "Cold World" we live in, and even worse if you're black. - Brashard Booker © 2015

Just quick point. I know many white people who have had treacherous, abusive and violent childhoods that have impacted and haunted then their whole lives.
