Cold Weather

Cold morning announces fall is here I layer my clothing carefully, Stashing away everything sheer, Recognize some greet it with glee Already enough cold weather for me! We’ll still have some warm days And I’ll attempt to dress accordingly This time of the year has its ways Fluctuating temperatures churlishly I’ll try to dress most sportingly. So hard for me to put my shorts away Until the return of warm, sunny weather But I realize the cold is here to stay No matter what I put on, or whether I shiver, freeze to death, or whatever!

Keep those shorts out - you never know what is going to happen in the middle of a cold week here!

This is true. I feel like we'll have some more really hot days, but I don't know. The weather is so unpredictable.

Nowadays Milton the weather is so unpredictable, We can have four seasons in one day, but as you are entering the colder weather, we are moving into Summer and i love the late afternoon in OUR COLORFUL GARDEN WITH HUBBY HAVING TEA AND MUFFINS. Hope you are well, i on the other hand have to pray very hard to our maker, as i almost met Him, it wasn't my time. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Yep. I like the fall colors, but dread the onset of cold weather for the next six months! Thanks for the read, Tania. I appreciate it.

Looking for a heat stove in case the grid goes down this winter. Getting snowblower ready and dealing soon with the leaves falling and clean up. It never ends Milton. I hope we have a good winter with no events happening. That would be nice. Have to buy a generator in case the power goes out also due to weather. Thanks for sharing...

Good for you my friend, as you feel it is better to be prepared then not...

Yep, I'm afraid that time has come. I know you have a much harder winter than we do here in northern Kentucky. I have heard that it is going to be a rough winter, however, so I'm going to try to be prepared for anything, too.

I still see the diehards wearing shorts even when the temperature drops and I think you might not feel it now but when you get older it will come back at you with rheumatic pains and arthritis. I worked outdoors for most of my career and always dressed for the weather accordingly. Then I got promoted and had a nice cosy office lol. Tom

I worked for Royal Mail for 40 years, started on telegram delivery on a motorbike, then moved up to van delivery. Then I got promoted and became a manager but often during staff shortages we'd often help out going outside, no better job in summertime. Tom

I am perpetually cold during the fall and winter. My knee and lower back aches...but I try to be upbeat. It's the only way I can fight my S.A.D. What kind of work did you do, Tom?
