Cold Rain

Cold rain Japnoor Rai (AKA Jenny) Cold Rain _______________ Part 1 I sit in my room and gaze out my window, lost in thought as I watch the world go by. The trees sway gently in the breeze, their leaves rustling softly in the wind. Birds flit from branch to branch, chirping merrily as they go about their day. The sky overhead is a deep shade of blue, with fluffy white clouds that drift along with the cold wind... As the rain begins to trickle down, a sense of unease creeps up my spine. Each drop seems to seep into my garments, causing an uncontrollable shudder to course through my body. The dreary atmosphere and dampness of the day seem to reflect the inner turmoil I'm feeling, leaving me lost in thought... The drizzling rain drops rapidly, as I wrap myself with a soft blanket. The rain, so beautifully dripping, yet so cold from the inside... How can something this beautiful be so cold? The rain is like tear drops, running down an innocent other's cheek. It's peaceful and calming to just sit here and observe the world outside. The rain is chilly, like the rest of the world... Kids are playing in puddles, as raindrops race each other. People walk by with umbrellas, red, blue, and black. Why ignore such a wonderful sight? Why not enjoy the moment as it is? Same in life...
