Co-Existing

She wrote her religion
in the sand
I looked at it, said
Nope
Don't understand

She took my hand, said
Then come over here
and try
Squint one eye
lift your chin
slightly
Right there!
See?

Uumm ... a little

Then I said "excuse me"
to the sky
And when it moved out of the way
I could finally see
Tolerance
