Cocoon Silk

Safely wrapped up and cocooned like a woven silken tapestry sage deep inside a mother's warm and welcoming embracing womb I slowly subside and then morph into a butterfly drenched in froth like an embryo praying to be birthed And activate so in order to tantalize the finery of all the sense's life has kindly placed on offer Take in all it's majesty drink it in leave no stone unturned In search of the eternal need and fulfill the desire to multiply So given since I know from whence I came from The only thing that is left worth knowing of note Is where I am going and what on earth comes next

Christopher, interesting for me as I’m in midst of finishing a painting of a monarch. I’ve written about silkworms as well. So, was attracted when I saw cocoon in the title. Nice narrative in this. Unlike David, I wasn’t bothered by the course or ending. Like how you told it for the butterfly. Peace. sally

A cautionary poem Christopher, your ending is quite sarcastically paradoxical, The only thing left worthy of knowing, is the biggest uncertainty for us all, for none of us know where the hell we are going in the future, good one I enjoyed, cheers David
