Aloha, Karen! Hmm, that soundly hits home! They chop the non-pointed end of green coconuts--their inner flesh is still loose, making it easier to peel off--then individually pour into the waiting opened coconuts filled with coconut juice, adding in the pineapple-y colada while still stirring, then serve the kids while adults add in the rum, and voila, welcome to my front and backyards.
