Clutches

Clutches closing
Bleeding broken
Bruised battered
Heart
Shouting
Screaming
For salvation
Redemption
Saviour!

Dark
Black
Cold claws
Taking hold

Soul starving
Worthless
Alone
Lost
Gone
Dead?

Tattered body
Broken skin
Tears
Smiles

Dark black eyes
Staring back
Reflection
Revolting
Ruined?

Taken close
Left to fall
Breath
Snap
Click
Bang?

Pleading
For Rescuer
Begging
Not to fall
Crying
For freedom
From his evil hold

Anger
Resentment
Hate
Hurt
Danger!

Truth
Hope
Faith
Love
Safe?

Holding onto pieces
Of a broken whole?
Burnt bridges
Cold glows
Broken
Lost
Alone

Running
From a past
Done
Happened
Said

Running towards
Unknown
Hope for salvation
Help to save?
Love to show?
Hand to hold?
