Chris Hagy Poet Free verse

Clouds

The clouds are massive and dark
                          but they move through a silken blue sky
                                   with no harmful intentions   
                                                                                               
                                                               The wind is steady and cool
                                                                    yet somehow it warms me
                                                                with the smell of spring

  One drop of rain falls to my face
        if only to remind me …
        of possibilities 

                       The sun takes it’s curtain calls between the clouds
                                 it’s brilliant face 
                                   never revealed too long

                                                             The birds call to each other in chaos
                                                         still the plan is clear…   
                                                                            one world        

                             My thoughts are massive and dark
                        but they move through a silken blue mind
                                    with no harmful intention

As you read the first few stanzas, it seems light and up beat with the dark clouds not having harmful intentions but your emotional darkness abruptly changes that feeling.
