Closure
--- Some things lack closure ---
Like a sunset blocked by oncoming gray clouds
Or looking for answers from reflections in water
Only to have ripples blur what is to be seen
Or racing to bring flowers, with no answer at the door
Past hurts from long ago lingering unresolved
Brought back by reminders, seeping into the present
Not wanting to hear some things, yet trying to listen
A life unacknowledged, as it should be upon death
Waiting for a significant surge of words to be told
Triggers, anger, misunderstandings do unfold
Trying to please, yet maybe never enough
Some things lack closure, lurking in the mind
--- Until it is our true purpose we find ---
