Closer

Stepping closer, Inches near what I've been waiting to devour, Ever since a night without stars, Gave all lost hope. Somewhere in the darkness, Eating any chance of life that lays in the open, Anger thrusting my hold. Looking further into the shadows, Light getting dimmer. Only giving a sign of one thing, To hurry. Fly behond grounds reach, Closer, If what I want is miles away, Then that means I need to expand my mind miles longer. Each footstep, Each trail, Leading me more near. For maybe, This will be eternity? This is when, I ignore what's around me, Embracing my hold. What's really important, Is the white outline, Dimming as I squint my eyes. To step closer, To step right in front of it. To stepping inside, As fate decides what goes on next.
