"clockwork Man"

Lost my key
no energy

no plans to execute
mind shut on mute

need a way to wind up
cease being a lump

don't do dope
lose all hope

not really depressed
just tired I guess

tired of a clock
time doled in a block

of work and meals
it all just feels

slowly robotic
a life so unchaotic

boring in its routine
stifling inbetween

those quiet moments of tick tock
that lock

my mind in peace
with no need to reach

beyond NOW.

The short lines work well for a creative perspective--one that most will relate to. It has a lighthearted feel that works well. Nice use of rhyme. Keep on writing. Have a wonderful weekend. Karen
