Double Chained Sonnets (1.) Clock Sounding, Its Hum Of Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, Double Chained Sonnets World, our existence, more than mere charades charades of fantasy, dreams and parades parades often growing beyond the pale pale in reality, to pits of hell. Hell born of deepest darkness, lies one rides rides of vanities, sin of mortal prides prides born of aching heart's truth deep inside inside soul of man, its dark oft so wide. Wide open arms, beseeching ever more more pleasures, gold treasures, another score score of greed, its ever increasing weight weight and true measures, set by hands of Fate Fate and world's alarm, ever sounding clock Clock sounding, its hum of tick-tock, tick-tock! Face History Of Humanity's Plight Hope in life's walk and better tomorrows tomorrows, dreams erasing sad sorrows sorrows in marrows of decaying bones bones too often broken by falling stones. Stones and bloody cuts from great battles fought fought in trenches, where mind and soul are caught caught bleeding out heart's saddest of sad pains pains beating woe'some fears, seeping dark stains. Stains coloring ones journey through life's span span of fleeting moments, gems cast to man man within earthen realm, at its fast pace pace of a journey and end each must face.
