The climate's changed before 
     Some creatures did adjust
  
  Others went the way of nature
     To end up ash and dust

Unless everyone pulls together we're heading for a slippery slope to Armegedon. Selfishness and greed plays a part, forests flattened, toxic waste dumped at sea, I could go on. Wake up mankind, it's getting close to midnight on the doomsday clock. Tom

Don't give up hope, Tom. Although when I look to the East, it's pretty hard not to, given what China, India, and Russia are doing to the planet...

As a climate activist, I especially liked this! Nobody hopes for the latter. As a poem, I love the directness and the rhyme. I think the rhyme works best in this concise format.
