Climate Change

The planet's changing right before our eyes,
for global warming’s melting the ice caps;
observing this shift, we feign our surprise.

Coral reefs are in danger of collapse,
while high waters threaten coastal cities;
for global warming’s melting the ice caps.

It is too late for government committees
assessing this threat to do anything,
though high waters threaten coastal cities.

We're robbing our children of their future;
climate change is here, no time left for folks
assessing this threat to do anything.

Labeling climate change a Chinese hoax,
lies fueled a conspiracy, and now,
climate change is here, no time left for folks.

And despite all the pooh-poohing, somehow
the planet's changing right before our eyes.
Lies fueled a conspiracy, and now,
observing this shift, we feign our surprise.
