Cliff of Virtues
Through the mountains, valleys, rivers and wooded trees,
I see many things on my walks, sorting thoughts that don’t freeze
I can see so much happening nearby and so far away
Results from lack of law and order, we can’t sustain day to day
Corruption eats away truth, like termites in the wood
Leaving no strong structure for shelter, even with nails if you could
So much has been dismantled, transformation many chose to ignore
But eventually, it comes around, knocking loudly at your door
It’s a time to re-evaluate virtues, beliefs and what’s worth fighting for
Because, we are right on the edge of a cliff, falling with so much more
