Classy Squash Final In Borneo

It is a final long dreamed for by the organisers... It is a final matchup between the top 2 contenders... Here in this for off island of Borneo, 3 days of frantic matches... Will end with this crucial final match to determine the worthy champion... The top seed, there is an aura of invincibilty given her steady playing abilities.. The 2nd seed, she is equally invincible having despatched easily all her rivals... The crowd is gathered, elbow to elbow, jam packed in the available terraces... Seats are all taken, many more were brought in but it's standing room nevertheless.. One of the 2 officials makes the call, a player spins her racket and wins the service... Love all, calls again the official assigned and this long awaited final is officially in session.. The server sent out a high lobbed service, that arched up and deep to the back of the court... The receiver, cool as cucumber, deftly hefted her racket and slammed down a lethal volley return.. Hands out, called the official, point one love and within the court, the receiver now gets to serve... Her service was true and sure, and her opponent made sure her return, a rally then was observed... After a couple of enthralling rallies, service exchanges and points, the audience as one... Clearly could discern the contrasting styles of the 2 protagonists in their playing styles... The challenger was clearly pumped up, fast and speedy, fully focussed and all that.. The top seed exuded latent confidence, leisurely in her movement with measured steps... There were bursts of speed, impossible retrievals and even some occasional splits.. There were some lucky nick shots and some fantastic lightning reflexes in action.. The spectacle they offered, awed and impressed all those in attendance... Parents, friends and supporters, clapped and periodically called out encouragement... First set came and went, the top seed held the upper hand, got it in 11-8... A 2 minutes break, the top seed started and again dominated to win 11-2..., A 2 minutes break between games was but a lull in a prelude to the final set of this match.. Leading 2 sets-to-love, it was now or never for this event's second seed to rescue her match... Alas, it was not to be, her best and her desperation was not enough to stem the inevitable... Tried she did, a tigerish effort till the end, but the top seed, on this day, was unbeatable.. To the victor and the vanquished, cheers and applause for a vintage display!
