Grandpa gave grandma, a string of rare wild pearls when he came back from the war. They were her prized possession. She wore them all the time, and would touch them with tears when she talked of grandpa. Then she gave them to me.
PEARLS
rare stones
from grandma
adored and so loved
her gift on my debut
silky, ivory, treasure
"nacreous and iridescent"
