I walk along a busy city street,
watching people leave a loud train
and all around flows a musical beat
and today there is the whisper of autumn rain
people are passing- they go and come
most wear a dark stone carved face
but some give smiles, and some
have tears that in my heart leave a trace
pale youth stroll with hungry eyes
with ideas far-fetched and wild
oh, I want to say- don't listen to lies
so that in this cruel world you are not reviled
