City Solution

Let's move to 
the urban rhythms
   Lets' dance to the urban 
beat
      Lights in the darkness
   illuminate our lives
     Dwellers in the asphalt 
homeland
      we vibrate to the sound 
of the city
   Music pouring forth 
from the windows of an 
   apartment 
Reminds us we're part
              of the metropolis
Millions of other eyes peer 
      out in the shadows
As autos rush by 
    A sense of hope 
that won't be quelled 
      lives on
Despite the disappointments 
      and frustrations
That city life can bring
      There still remains 
       a core of a better 
reality 
       somewhere between
the pavement and
         the sheltering sky
     Raindrops strike 
the pavement
     Strike us as well
cleansing us
               making us ready
for renewed life
    here in the heart
    of the city
