City Lights
City lights blazed past completely indefenseless
shooting a futile attempt at yet another imprisonment
reminding only the fuel for how we came...
...Sun’s crescendoed, seeing us short-of-breath,
short-of escape, they brought their reckless justice:
but this is it, this is where it ends,
and they’ll take what we wished.
