Stained glass Stained glass wings, vulnerably fragile wings high above churchs window small scapulae overlooking altar, priests wild hair choir boys in awe clouded mind scared citizens Cautiously freed cicada wings hidden for too long spit upon, never seen Cicada, colourless and trampled unfolds itself, preparing a first, frightening jump, flying away with fragile glass wings Stained person colourful person *** December 6, 2016 Copyright © Darren White

There must be an echo in here but, is there no end to your talent. That first step, first flight on new, untested, fragile glass wings...basically a leap of faith into the unknown. So a cool design and a poem that reads whatever direction the reader choses to move their eyes. Yep...no end to your talent my friend.

So interesting, Darren. You are a whiz kid with so many types of poetry (thanks for reading both versions of it. You are in a small minority who liked it free verse.)

the picture and the poem - together made think of angles - and she/he watching the congregation at church , but the poem by itself made think of a cicada at church flying around at church service - and then on the ground as people are leaving with or without what was to be learned (p.s. NCLD )
