Chrysaora Quinquecirrha

...inspired by 'Voyages 1' by Hart Crane Camouflaged and coruscating, skating in their see-through costumes, part of the ocean's bold militia, you shuffle, and send them scurrying. Chrysaora Quinquecirrha, jellyfish abound and flounder 'neath the surface smooth as glass, they pester and you're irritated, epidermis penetrated you howl, as you hobble on your way. Deeper still the riptide churns, it's learned the tales of tragedy as you pursue the ocean blue with rubber rafts and play toys, do not cheat the warning buoy, listen for its tell-tale sounds, the bottom of the sea is out of bounds.

I remember standing in a sea of sting rays in Florida once; it was the most amazing sensation. Such a neat verse regaling the wonders of the sea!

skating in their see-through costumes, part of the ocean's bold militia, do not cheat the warning buoy, your creative mind is an interesting place which you translate so well.

this is so strange - i also wrote a poem today about what lies beneath the surface of the sea. i don't have your genius with language, but i think we've made similar observations. i really like your poem.
