Christy

Why do i miss her
When she isn’t even mine
The time without her
The time to whine

Complaining the winter
Complaining the loss
I miss my sunshine
My day was lost

I worry about her
I pray her name
And hope she comes back
Exactly the same

My time without her
Comes at great cost
I pine my disaster
And bare the cross

She is a shining star
To follow in the night
An oasis in a desert
On the journeys flight

To miss her is
Loss of direction
Starvation
Of my might

Yet think of her I must
As a guiding light
Though inside my mind
With missing her I fight

Oh God bring back my measure
Oh God bring back my life
Oh God don’t take my treasure
Return the pleasure of my sight

An emotive piece of poetry, and also a heartbreaking one... Very well written and so very real, as good poetry should be... I love the real poems the most :)

I can feel the pain in this one. I don't know the details, but I hope it all works out for the best for both of you. We all change each day in some way, but we don't recognize it even ourselves. Therefore, she will change, and you will change, but here's hoping for good change. Thanks for sharing this one with us and for dropping by my page. Sara K
