Christmas Warmth
The coldness of the time of year,
Should outshine the season’s warmth,
But along with Christmas comes,
Friends, family, singing and parties,
Greetings of good health and frivolities.
The centre of Christmas is presents,
Today in cheer they have so become,
And the nativity story can be heard,
When a bit of seriousness is needed,
To understand the saviour heeded.
Truth occurs at Christmas time,
When you decide who you want to give to,
Who you want to to share your feelings with,
And tell your intentions for the year ahead,
Your view of god, Jesus and what’s said.
After your share, you know you’ve warmed,
The hearts of many of those around you,
And energy flows from your whole being,
Because you’ve enlivened and clarified,
The weed from the light purified.
