Christmas Tree Makes Me Happy

Shall we take down the Christmas tree? My husband asked. I laughed. Absolutely not. But it is July, he said. Which meant nothing to me. The Christmas tree makes me happy. It takes up almost no room. Its cheerful lights bring me hope and joy. My grandchildren were on their way. They would be delighted That Grandma’s Christmas tree is still up. For that reason alone it is going to stay where it is. Christmas in July, a second rejoicing of Christ. Okay by me.
