Christmas Rising

At Christmas Christ’s spirit did rise But this time we’ll have a surprise With tariffs on trade And high rates to be paid It’s prices that will reach the skies

G'day Duke … never forget Duke that it's your money that must pay for the non productive, forever ballooning public service who will justify anything to keep them sitting in an office on facebook - enjoyed your limerick Duke - Lindsay

The best programs the government has include medicare, medicaid, and social security. At least we get some benefits from those programs. There are some other good things as well, but the current leadership would love to see most of those protections erased.

You are quite right--our tax dollars are mostly wasted. The government has a lot of internal chaos and inefficiency which is a result of poor oversight and a lot of people who don't know how to fix it or don't care to. Incompetence, it is said, is the worst form of corruption.

sad but true, Richard. And it will not end well. A set of circumstances that we haven't exactly seen before, so no one knows where the ignition of the fire will come from.

Yes we do, but not the bankers!!! Those poor executive victims earning 100s of millions were definitely in need of a bailout during the last collapse. I intend to fight with words on my way to the poor house!! Yes it will be a wonderful Christmas this year on a personal level for us who are at peace with life and satisfied internally.

Terry, very glad you are back. I will take a look at your work. I try to write about what irks me, and there is no shortage of that these days.

Yes, few people who work in government understand that it is the taxpayer's money that is being spent. Therefore, we should have the best and most professional people in government. I suppose that is why the political organizations are called "parties" because that is what they have been running.

Many things are subject to resurrection, and we might have some interesting surprises. I was thinking about all the things that can go up. Hmmmm.
