Christmas Past, Present and Future

There is a Santa Claus,
He does exist,
St Nicholas,
Known for his love and generosity,
Selling all his possessions
Secretly giving to the poor,
Leaving gifts in stockings
He brought that spirit into the world,
In his day! Once upon a time,
So astounding,
We remember year after year,

Today we retell his story,
Children waiting in anticipation,
Excitement and joy,
Santa magically rides
His sleigh through the night skies,
Loaded up with toys,
Pulled by the reindeer,
All the way from the Northpole,
Coming down chimnies,
People secretly buying presents,
Spreading that same love,
Celebrating his wonderful acts,
With this fantasy story,
So powerful people even stop fighting,
On this special Christmas day.

What does the future hold,
For St Nicholas,
Will his ghost keep on haunting,
Bringing Christmas cheer,
Will one man’s kindness,
Be known forever more,
Sure it will!
We’ve all had a visit,
Know him to be true,
Santa Claus,
Is coming,
His kindness to you.

Nicely done Wendy. Yes St. Nicholas did exist. But very few people tell his story. Nicely done. God Bless and a seven from me. JB

This brought me back to yesteryear Wendy. I got a cowboy suit once. When I went to visit my older sister in Australia last March, I brought her a poodle nightie holder in white, she had gotten from Santa when we were very small. I had lost my black one but had kept hers all those years.
