Notes About The Poem

Christmas Mashup, Santa Edition

You know Dasher and Dancer and Frosty and Santa
live in The North Pole with the elves and Rudolph.
If you be jolly and quick, you'll see Old Saint Nick,
rocking around the Christmas tree at night.

When the clock is striking twelve
don't you fall asleep
Down the chimney Santa comes
for a snack to eat.
All the stockings you will find
that decked the halls,
mine will be the jolly one
going ho-ho-ho!

Very creative poetry, Miranda. I like the way you included the North Pole crew, and included the things that happen during the Christmas season. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us through your fine poetry, my friend. Thanks for all your visit and comments on my poetry this last week. :-) Hugs, Bill

I am deeply moved by your poem, Miranda. At times like this, our hearts long for the presence of our loved ones who have passed on. Thankfully, we are fortunate to have treasured memories that stay with us. My friend, your use of vivid imagery to express yourself is astounding. It is this joyous piece that gives the greatest joy."

I mean the fact that a few songs were going through my head when I wrote this, had literally nothing to do with the fact that both my parents are not living anymore. Glad you enjoyed this one.
