Snow White’s Christmas tree.
Snow white gathered the seven dwarfs round her
and asked if they'd do her a huge favour
By them decorating the Christmas tree
as her time was short and she was busy.
The seven dwarfs all looked at her aghast
wondering how on earth they could do that
Because to them the tree was mighty tall
and they were all only short, after all.
Grumpy groaned, "my dear, what are you thinking"
"the tree's much to high" he said, heart sinking
Bashful blushed bright red as he shyly said
"anything for you, to me your the best."
Sleepy said he would be glad to partake
if he could stay alert and wide awake
Happy though was rarin’ to move ahead
clapped his hands and said "from me it’s a yes.”
Doc became agitated for them all
because their health and safety was his call
Dopey said with adoring eyes flashing
"yes Snow White, because I find you smashing."
Sneezy, with a cough, sneeze and a splutter
"will do, but just for you" he did mutter
Together the dwarfs came up with a scheme
to surpass any tree they’d ever seen.
Start at bottom, reach as high as they could
dress the middle when on a stool they stood
Then climb on each other to attain goal
the last one up had to be a brave soul.
Dopey was ecstatic to be chosen
though his legs became wobbly and frozen
Somehow he managed to complete the chore
placing a star above the tree so tall.
Snow White came along and lit up the tree
and she couldn't stop herself dancing with glee
The tree looked stupendous, ever so bright
she said "thanks all, it's a wonderful sight."
As they were turning in for a nights sleep
Snow White kissed them one by one on the cheek
Under the mistletoe, to their delight
as she wished them all "God Bless and goodnight.”
