Christmas Is Free This Year
Guys,
Christmas is free this year.
No more pain.
No more tears.
No more empty wallets.
Only love under the twinkling lights.
Only laughter with the new and old.
Only wine and song and tears of sweet memory.
Anguish will leave us.
Dreadful thoughts begone.
Rhymes are for babies.
Let Gluwein simmer from every pot.
I cannot make this up:
Christmas is free this year.
You don't have to wear jeans.
Or go to church.
Or hug your smelly aunt.
Just dance with your favorite people.
Or read a book near someone you tolerate.
Love good, fresh bread,
Kiss the middle fluff.
Dream into your child's ear.
Cuz Christmas is free this time around.
