Christmas Is
The time to go beyond your own self
To think of and do for others.
To pay it forward
Put yourself out there.
You may have nothing to offer,
You say?
A thoughtful word is all
It may take.
A small gesture, a smile.
An act of kindness.
This may be better than any material gift,
You could buy.
You yourself may need this,
So pass on the good, and expect nothing in
Return is the best gift of all.
Remember this;
It is a precious gift that will
Last you many years.
Brighten a heart, bring fond memories,
Of a time when someone touched your heart,
Lifts your soul, most of all,
It will be remembered.
Think of those you know,
And those you don't
Your light can be the best gift of all!!
Pay it forward, this I challenge you...
Because this is what Christmas is
ALL ABOUT!!
