One night when all was clear and bright
Stars shined down with soothing light
Glittering hope through the heavens
Reflecting smiles across the spirit
Reminding all that the time had come
When our King, our love, would be born
Snowflakes kissing the cheeks so gentle
Whispering faith through the being
Delighting the soul with dreams of joy
Kindness aroused on creative festivities
Where His love would be celebrated
Praised with rejoicing and hymns so graceful
One night when peace was falling allover
Beckoning the air to breathe in such sweetness
Drifting over clouds in skies filled with tenderness
Coloring the heart in flamboyant charms
Erasing every worry, each doubt, all despair
Replacing it with elation, wonder and inspiration
His birth would be celebrated across the world
By those who know this King is God with us
The One who created us come down to give to us
A second chance to be all that He had in mind
When He gave us life, breathed air into our lungs
And sparked the fire that would bring us alive
Jesus came to us a tiny babe who was pure love
The One we would worship when all was said and done
The One we could hope to bring to others through our gifts…
The light that came down to us when we truly believed
And gave Him the opportunity to live through us
As reflections of the love He brings when He is given…
The heart who believes in the King of Kings, Jesus!
