Christmas In the Park
Tantalizing sights of a winters moonlight
With snow glistening as sparking stars
A crunch as you walk upon fresh new snow
Snowmen gather through the streets
Covered with silvery white and a top hat
Decorations abound seen all around
Blinking lights with traffic lights, large windows
Trains cycling with elf’s giving gifts in stores
Children giggling and laughing while dreaming
Fireplaces blazing, music in the background
Stocking hung to be filled with treats
A time of joy only once a year to bring joy
Bells ringing with Santa asking for giving
While shoppers walk by carrying new toys
Tents erected in the snow huddling by a fire
Some with no food others have no shoes
A can of soup and crackers for Christmas dinner
Wondering in wonder about tomorrow
Children with blank stares and shame
Life will never be the same hoping this is a game
One in a Manger among the sheep
His birth came upon this Day
