Notes About The Poem

Christmas For Me

Christmas for me means, beautiful Christmas trees blinking,
      Going for a wintery walk looking at houses brightly decorated;
Keeping the kitty from playing with my sparkling decorations,
           Listening to Christmas music and singing along in a loud voice.

Visiting the old and the helping to poor, giving of myself,
      Getting together with friends for some Christmas cheer;
Having a meal with the family, forgetting my diet until next year.
          Remembering the Christmases from my past and the happiness.

Christmas for me means, watching the children so happy,
       Thinking of those in my city less fortunate at Christmas time;
Volunteering at the soup kitchen on Christmas Day each year,
             And although Christmas is sad for me, I love seeing the joy.
