It’s Christmas Eve
Once again, this year
I know – I believe
He came down from heaven
To give – and we receive
The gift, His grace, salvation
His love will never deceive
It’s the day before Christmas again
Wherever I go, I know He is there
Alive in my spirit, shining down on man
The wonder of a love that brings peace
A light that destroys darkness and pain
Whispers joy into the lives He blesses
With love that is forever, so we regain
The gift of a relationship with the Father,
God who gives us a hope and will remain
The greatest gift that Christmas ever gave
A gift of hope and peace, joy that wise men
Know is the only way to find the truth,
The inspiration to give and never complain…
Because it is the love of God, the giver
Of Jesus, His only Son – that assures us
Every Christmas Eve, He will deliver…
Love that is the promise we all discuss
When we remember His plan – salvation
Is the gift that only love could bring, thus…
Christmas is the light of love glistening
So we know that He brings love plus
More joy, hope and peace than we imagine
He IS LOVE – so this Christmas Eve, we celebrate
The answer to our spirit’s greatest need,
Love that is alive, surviving even darkest hate
Because He is the light – He is pure truth
He is the reason I believe and the hope so great
On Christmas Eve, I know He is with me
He is the light, the love so bright – my life’s fate
Merry Christmas, Friend – Love always gives
Away the gift of Jesus – on Christmas and every day
