To the cook: 
Thank you for the main course at our beautiful Christmas dinner ...... 
now you can rest, dessert is on the table.
And I'll do the dishes.

I like this. It's really neat. I'm sure it would be sheer poetry to anyone who had just served a huge meal like that. It would be to me. Love it. It made me smile. God Bless, JB
