Christmas Cookies Cut like Ice You brought presents for the kids. They hesitated at the door, I watched. I had to ask myself, why? I could not help it. (…) You brought a broken doll in a fancy dress, A train without track. Thank you. Leave. You wanted to talk, you always do. You left your calling card behind, only after I pressed “9” (11). A black eye, not so bad, I am not sad. Gone. My children laugh and sing in the other room. The popcorn is popping. We are going to watch TV. Together. Me, and them. Family.
