Christ-Like Impressions

I am stilled by the rustle from maples breathing as if their whiffs understand my untold ancestry... This lineage from David to Moses carrying me along boundless boundaries where the Messiah walk on sea and turns water into wine... If I so believe Perhaps, I am getting old maybe wise enough to scrape my flesh amid bundled journals, Unearthed by many biblical pages still to come. And go. ---,---- And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.' --Jesus Christ ------------------------- Contest of Anthony Slausen 6/18/2016

Nette, beautifully worded prayer. Heartfelt, impassioned, laced with scriptural references, fighting the internal battles yet ending with hope and submission. I can so relate to the line, "these ashen tears bathed by waves of my own discontent." Congrats on your placement in the contest. Blessings ~ John

This is a heavenly poem. You are so connected with Christ in a most personal, unrestricted manner. I wish I could talk to Him about my misgivings and be uplifted.

After confusion, catharsis--- a transformation. The spill of guts is how we speak to the Lord-- nothing is left to censor, thus, an intimate poem, a full exposure so well imparted! Salute to you!

"for all are sinners and fall short of the glory of God." What separates the good from the bad is honesty and humility and a willingness to change. Great write, Nette.
