Christened By a Summer Rain
I spread my blanket under the trees
And marvel at the fickle breeze
It takes a turn, from warm to cool
To soothe my brow, as I lie down
I nap among the shady groves
Awakened by the scent of rain
One little drop, then down it pours
And like a child who plays outdoors
I'm christened now in nature's eyes
And laugh at summer's sweet surprise
