Chosen

Not for the beauty of your face,
nor for the greatness of your race.
Not for your location in space,
nor because you won first place.

Not for having a special trait,
nor even because you were great.
Not for your dignified estate,
nor because your ways were so straight.

Not for the swiftness of your pace,
nor because you won the race.
Not for some bloodline I could trace,
But simply because of My grace.
