choreography of the traffic light

the cars move steadily on the streets, drowning out the busy rhythm of unpaved slick roads. outside, long afternoon shadows stretch across the pavement. everything shifts incredibly loud, moving to a choreography we steadily notice until the music of traffic stops and the city dance concludes.

we move
in circles
chasing the dance
brief move on slick roads
the spinning world will never slow down for us
we stay together in dark
then rest

Lovely Suzette Prime Prose, Simone. However, the 3rd line of your verse is 6 syllables (not a prime number).

Thank you so much for catching that, Suzette! I really appreciate the feedback. I see the syllable error now and have updated the poem to ensure all lines strictly follow the Suzette Prime rules (and changed the prose to all lowercase). Thank you for your guidance!
