Choose To Be the Star

Choose to be the star

You don't have to stay in the shadows 
You don't have to put yourself down
Everyone is special in some way
We all deserve love and kindness 

Choose to be the star in your life
Just for one day
It doesn't always have to be
Everyone else's way

Know that you are beautiful
You're sweet and you're kind
You're the loveliest person
Anyone could ever find

Please take some time to notice
How the Universe is full of stars
If there was only one or two
It would be a complete disaster

You are able to shine your light
Your special brand of awesome
And it will never take away
From anyone else's fortune

So, try to shine for just one day
Just one day in your life
And maybe it will inspire you
To do it for all time
