Choices Or Chances

My parents thought giving me too many chances would be a mistake,
When so much was at stake,
Preferring to leave me in no doubt about the choices I needed to make,
Starting with what was on my dinner plate.

I think we generally do better if given choices as long as they are clear and we are not spoiled for them. Thanks for reading. David
