Chocolate Candy

They brought me home in a plastic bag
The whiteness of it nearly made me gag.
I was optimistic when they took me out.
But then a woman began to shout.

Why would you bring me this kind of junk?
I got re-bagged and thrown in a trunk.
Trunk got hot and I melted so badly.
This is no way to treat milk chocolate candy!

You definitely would not want one from my trunk. A mouse has been living in there.

Thank you; personification is one of my favorite types of poems to write.

Hello Caren, I make chocolates. In the summer months it is a no-no. making chocolates this time of year is not a good idea. it would melt quickly. Hugs,
