Chimera of Grandeur
CHIMERA OF GRANDEUR
Sheriff Barney had false swagger of air,
a braggart with chimera of grandeur,
skilled winner of women’s heart
couldn’t play well the lover’s part,
songs of romance fell flat on his tin ear.
