Childs Champion
So many children, so much loss.
Many tears shed, from many a different cause.
Maybe Mom died of cancer, or a dad with no answer.
A drug deal gone wrong, broken homes and broken bones.
Forgotten and neglected, maybe caused by a bottle.
It could be a child with no home and no room to roam
Maybe a loved one's untimely death, or an absent mother addicted to meth.
Suffering from anxiety and depression, doomed to live alone
Whatever the cause may be, these children will need to see.
An adult who loves them, a trustworthy companion.
A chosen one with integrity and compassion.
One who can be a hero and a child's champion
