Children of Gaza
Where broken walls let daylight through,
Children still dream in fragile hues.
Yet every dream they hold inside
Is guarded by the world’s shared guide.
“All humans are born free,” it begins—
With equal rights beneath their skins.
So even here, where sorrows fall,
These simple words must shield them all.
The right to life, to safety’s breath,
To live unshadowed by the threat of death.
The right to food, a home, a bed—
Not nights of fear, or paths to dread.
The right to learn, to write, to read,
To plant small hopes like scattered seed.
Classrooms should ring with joy and art—
Not crumble into dust and dark.
For every child in Gaza’s dawn
Is born with rights from the moment drawn—
Not given by borders, nor withheld by might,
But written for all in universal light.
