Child of the Wind
You rest behind my eyes,
I know your face.
It is always on my mind,
but who are you?
I see you, feel you,
but still I do not know you.
We have journied many miles.
Your beginnings, my pain.
My pain, your beginnings.
Happiness blows through.
Sorry you do not keep the kind.
A Mother wants her child,
to feel no pain.
It is her heart, from life travels,
can't be the same.
Life is what we have.
We have to try.
My child, I cannot say good-bye.
All the years I've tried to be strong,
I am getting weak,
but for you, I hang on.
Please take the good,
and run with it.
Life will fall in place someday.
God please show your light.
Guide my child on a path right.
