Chickens
In the small box
on the counter,
there are ten tiny chickens.
They are so little,
you can hold them in your hand.
They make the softest noises,
tiny chirps and whistles,
they calm the soul.
We ordered them,
on line.
They came,
just in time.
We love the little babies,
pray they grow big,
and strong.
Pray they will help us,
remember that life...
continues,
in a blessed way,
if you but pray...
and appreciate
the day.
