Chicken Little
Chicken Little
My heart is wide open, I’m ready to explore,
The many things that others simply adore.
I’m open to the chance that it could be right for me,
For glamorous lives. And happy faces are on everyone I see.
What is the secret? What do they have that I don’t got?
Why do I feel like I have less when others have a lot?
Am I less than worthily? Have I not earned the right?
When I’m digging in the trenches and everyday’s a fight.
Could it be that I’m the problem? Am I dissent not to find?
My measure of truth, my moment in time.
They say that I am special for God makes no junk.
But could I be the one to establish a debunk?
Don’t feel sorry for me for pity I have plenty.
I’m the Cadillac of regret, who strives to be a Bentley.
Call me Chicken Little, for the sky is always falling,
I’m too busy chasing the past instead of the future that is calling.
